Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
livelinks pages are public, and many of the people who visit them are young. This policy sets out what you must not post, link to or do on livelinks. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everything on your page: your username, display name, bio, pictures, links, badges, text and embedded media, and to links that lead elsewhere.
1. Illegal content
Do not post, link to or promote anything that is illegal in the United Kingdom or where you live, or that encourages, assists or organises illegal activity. This includes, for example, content relating to fraud, the sale of illegal drugs or weapons, people smuggling or human trafficking, sexual exploitation, extreme or intimate images shared without consent, threats to kill, encouraging serious self-harm, and the other illegal content listed in the Online Safety Act 2023.
2. Child sexual abuse and exploitation
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers children. This includes links to such material, and any attempt to contact children for sexual purposes. We will remove it immediately, permanently close the account, keep the information the law requires, and report it to the appropriate authorities, which may include the police, the National Crime Agency and the Internet Watch Foundation.
If you come across child sexual abuse material anywhere online, report it to the Internet Watch Foundation. If a child is in danger, call 999.
3. Terrorism and violent extremism
Do not post or link to content that promotes, supports, glorifies or raises money for terrorism or proscribed organisations, or that shares terrorist propaganda or instructions. We will remove it, close the account and report it where appropriate.
4. Harassment, hate and threats
- Do not bully, harass, intimidate or target anyone, or encourage others to.
- Do not threaten violence or harm against anyone.
- Do not post content that attacks, demeans or stirs up hatred against people because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or other protected characteristic.
- Do not glorify violence or post graphic violence intended to shock.
5. Sexual and adult content
- No pornography on livelinks itself. Do not upload or display pornographic or sexually explicit images, video or text on your livelinks page, including in your profile picture, image blocks, custom badges and embedded media.
- Adult-themed pages must use the 18+ warning. If your page includes or links to mature or adult-themed content that is lawful (for example, links to adult-only platforms where you have an account), you must switch on "Show an 18+ warning before the page opens" in Settings. Links must not go straight to explicit material without that platform's own age checks.
- Nothing illegal. Never post or link to sexual content involving anyone under 18, or anyone who has not consented, intimate images shared without consent, or extreme pornography.
- Under 18s must not create adult-themed pages.
The 18+ warning asks visitors to confirm their age; it does not verify it. We may remove adult-themed content or require further steps where we consider it necessary to protect children.
6. Scams, phishing, malware and fake giveaways
- Do not use livelinks to deceive people or take their money, personal information or account logins.
- No phishing pages, fake login pages or links that pretend to be another site.
- No malware, viruses, spyware or links designed to harm devices or accounts.
- No fake giveaways, fake prizes or "send gifts and I'll send more back" schemes; no pyramid schemes, investment or crypto scams, or "get rich quick" promotions.
- Giveaways and competitions you run must be genuine, lawful, and clear about how they work and who is running them.
- Tip jars and donation links must go to you (or a cause you clearly name) and must not mislead people about where their money goes.
7. Impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, streamer, brand, organisation, platform or livelinks itself, or suggest you are connected with them when you are not. Parody and fan pages are allowed only if they are clearly labelled as such in the display name or bio and do not mislead anyone. Usernames are covered by section 5 of our Terms.
8. Infringing content
Only post content you own or have permission to use. Do not post or link to content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including pirated streams, films, games, music or software, leaked content, or other people's artwork or logos used without permission. Rights holders can use our Copyright & Takedown policy.
9. Doxxing and other people's personal data
- Do not post anyone's private or identifying information without their clear permission, including home or school addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, real names they have not made public, ID documents, financial details or location.
- Do not post private images of other people, or encourage others to find or share someone's information.
- Lists such as top gifters must only use names that people use publicly on the platform concerned (for example their screen names). Remove a name if the person asks you to.
10. Suicide, self-harm and eating disorders
Do not post or link to content that encourages, promotes or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. Talking about your own experiences, or sharing support and recovery resources, is allowed. If you are struggling, you can call Samaritans free on 116 123 (UK and Ireland), any time.
11. Gambling and regulated goods
- Links to gambling, betting, casino, loot box or "case opening" sites, alcohol, tobacco and vaping products, CBD and similar products are allowed only where they are legal in the UK and in the places your audience is, the operator is properly licensed where a licence is required, and your page uses the 18+ warning.
- Paid promotions must follow advertising rules, including clearly labelling ads and affiliate links (for example "#ad") as the UK Advertising Standards Authority's guidance for influencers requires.
- Never promote or sell illegal drugs, prescription medicines without proper authorisation, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen accounts, cheats or hacked game items, or anything else that is illegal to sell.
12. Spam and abuse of the service
- Do not send spam, bulk or misleading messages through livelinks, including by misusing live notifications (only use them for genuine live streams).
- Do not create accounts automatically, in bulk, or to hoard, sell or squat on usernames, or to get extra invite-code benefits.
- Do not scrape, crawl or harvest data from livelinks by automated means, except for ordinary search engine indexing of public pages, or copy the service for a competing product.
- Do not overload, disrupt or interfere with livelinks or our providers, for example with excessive automated requests, denial-of-service attacks or uploading files designed to cause problems.
- Do not try to get around security, access other people's accounts or data, test for weaknesses without our permission, or get around limits on Free accounts. If you find a security problem, please tell us at Livelinkuk@outlook.com and give us a fair chance to fix it.
- Do not use livelinks to host files for use elsewhere, or for anything unrelated to your page.
13. Misleading badges and claims
Badges are self-reported, so honesty matters. Do not add ranking, achievement or custom badges that are false, exaggerated, belong to someone else, or look like official platform or livelinks verification. Do not make false claims elsewhere on your page about rankings, partnerships or sponsorships. We may remove misleading badges and claims, and take further action for repeated or serious cases.
14. What we do about breaches
When we find or are told about content or behaviour that breaks this policy, we look at it and decide what to do, taking into account how serious it is, the risk to people (especially children), whether it is a first breach, and any context. We may:
- ask you to change or remove something;
- remove or hide content, links, images or badges;
- remove a verified mark or change a username;
- switch on the 18+ warning for a page;
- disable a page temporarily or permanently;
- restrict features, suspend or permanently close an account, and prevent the person from opening new ones; and
- report the matter to the police, the National Crime Agency, the Internet Watch Foundation, or other authorities, and preserve information for them where the law requires or allows.
We will usually tell the account holder what we did and why, unless the law prevents it or it would put someone at risk. You can ask us to review a decision using our appeals process. We do not monitor every page, and not acting on something does not mean we approve of it.
15. How to report
If you see a page that breaks these rules, use our report page, or the small Report link at the bottom of any livelinks page. For copyright complaints, see our Copyright & Takedown policy. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
